How players pay
What checkout looks like from the player's side, and what happens behind it.
Payment is upfront. A player pays when they book, not after the lesson.
This describes a player booking themselves, on your booking page. A booking you enter yourself works differently and does not have to involve a card at all: see Add a player yourself.
The flow
- The player picks a session on your booking page and opens the booking panel.
- They enter how many are coming and their contact details, and see the price update live.
- Arvald creates a pending booking, which holds the spot, and sends them to the hosted checkout page.
- They pay by card on the processor's page.
- The processor tells Arvald the payment succeeded, and the booking becomes confirmed.
- The player lands back on a booking page that waits for that confirmation and then shows it.
Card details are entered on the processor's page, never on Arvald's. There is no card form anywhere in Arvald, which is a deliberate choice: it keeps card data out of the product entirely.
Holds
Between steps 3 and 5 the spot is held, so two players cannot buy the same last spot at the same moment. If checkout is abandoned, the hold times out and the booking becomes expired, freeing the spot again.
No account needed
Players do not sign up. They book as a guest with a name, email and phone, and Arvald creates a client record from those details so you have them next time.
What you get
The booking appears under Payments with its payment attached. Nothing is emailed to you, so this list is where you find out.
What players see about cancellations
If the session or its service has a cancellation policy, its terms appear on the session card, collapsed, labelled with the policy's name. If there is no policy, they see nothing about cancellations, and will generally email you to ask.
