Create your brand
What a brand is, how to pick a slug you will not regret, and when to have more than one.
A brand sits above everything else. It owns your public booking page, your services, your sessions, your clients, your cancellation policies and your payments setup. Nothing exists outside a brand.
You are asked to create one the first time you sign in, because without it there is nothing for the dashboard to show.
Name and slug
The name is what players see: your name, or the name of your programme. You can change it whenever you like.
The slug is the last part of your public URL, arvald.com/o/your-slug. It is between 3 and 40
characters and can use lowercase letters, digits and hyphens. It cannot start or end with a hyphen.
A handful of words are reserved and will be refused: api, www, admin, dashboard, me,
organizations, v1, healthz, docs, openapi and internal. The message you get back does
not say which rule you broke, so if a slug is rejected and the format looks fine to you, check that
list before assuming it is taken.
The slug cannot be changed after the brand is created. It is presented in settings as a permanent fact rather than an editable field, because changing it would break every link you have handed out, every QR code, and every checkout redirect that points at your page. Spend a moment on it.
Good slugs are the thing people would type: sofia-tennis, mimmitennis, tali-squad. Avoid
years, avoid the club name if you might move club, and avoid anything you would be embarrassed to
read out over the phone.
Solo or community
A brand is either solo, one coach trading under their own name, or community, a programme or club with several coaches under one banner. The choice affects how the brand presents itself rather than what it can do.
More than one brand
You can own up to ten brands, and you can be a member of brands you do not own. If you coach privately and also run a squad programme with someone else, those are two brands, and you switch between them with the menu in the top left.
Each brand is fully separate: its own page, services, clients, policies and payments account. There is no way to move a session or a client from one brand to another, so if you are unsure, start with one.
What comes next
Creating the brand is not enough to take money. Head to Set up payments next, then create a service and a session.
