Take your first booking

This is the whole setup, start to finish. It takes about fifteen minutes, and most of that is writing your own words for your booking page.

1. Create your brand

Sign in and you will be asked to create a brand before you can do anything else. A brand is the thing that owns your booking page, your services, your sessions and your clients. You give it a name and a slug.

The slug is the last part of your public URL, and it is permanent once set. Pick it carefully. There is more on this in Create your brand.

2. Set up payments

Open the brand menu in the top left, choose Brand settings, then Payments & payouts, and choose Set up payouts. That hands you over to our payment processor to enter your business and bank details, then brings you back.

Do this before anything else you might be tempted to do first. Until the processor reports that your account can take charges, your booking page cannot accept card payments at all, and a player trying to book will be turned away rather than shown a payment form. You can still add players and record cash yourself in the meantime; what you do not have is players booking themselves. 3. Create a service

Services in the sidebar, then New service. A service is what you sell, not when you sell it: a private lesson, a group clinic, a one-off event.

You will pick a type, give it a title, set the capacity, choose how it is charged, and pick a cancellation policy. The wizard is four steps and you can change any of it later.

4. Create a session

Sessions in the sidebar, then New session. This is a specific time on a specific court.

You pick the service, confirm the pricing, then set the date, start and end time, whether the court is guaranteed, and where it is. If you have not created a service yet you can make one inline here without leaving the wizard.

Worth being clear about, because it is the one thing that surprises people: a session means you hold that court at that time. Arvald does not book courts for you and does not release them. You keep doing that wherever you do it now. See How sessions work.

Public page in the sidebar. Add a headline, a short bio, a longer bio if you want one, your languages and credentials, and some photos.

Then use View live page at the top right to see what players see, and share that URL. It is arvald.com/o/your-slug. That link is the whole distribution model in v1: there is no directory and no search, so the link is how players find you.

What happens when someone books

They open your page, pick a session, enter their details and pay by card. The booking sits as Pending while checkout is open and flips to Confirmed once the payment is confirmed. You will see it under Payments, and the player is added to Clients automatically.

Arvald does not send anyone an email about it, including you. Check the dashboard.
