Manage bookings
Find a booking, then cancel it, mark a no-show, take payment or refund it.
There are two ways to reach a booking. Payments in the sidebar lists all of them alongside the payment that goes with each one, filterable by status. Sessions takes you to one session's roster: just the people coming to that session.
Open a row either way to get the booking detail panel: who booked, whether they booked online or you added them, which session, how many spots, what they paid and how, and the actions available.
The actions
Which actions appear depends on the state of the booking and its payment. All of them are owner-only.
Add a player. On the session's roster rather than on a booking, since there is no booking yet. Books someone in by hand, paid or unpaid. See Add a player yourself.
Cancel booking. Available while a booking is pending or confirmed. It calls the booking off and frees the spot. It does not refund anything, so if the player paid, refund them too.
Mark no-show. Available on confirmed bookings only, since someone has to have booked before they can fail to turn up. It records what happened and nothing else: no charge, no refund, no effect on the money.
Record a payment. Available on a pending booking that is not already paid, for players who paid you in cash or by transfer. Works the same whether the booking came in through your booking page or you added it yourself. See Offline payments.
Release this week's spot. Only on a booking that covers more than one session, which in practice means somebody who bought a whole term, and only when you reached the booking from a session's roster, so Arvald knows which week you mean. It gives up that one week and leaves the rest of the term theirs. See When a term player can't make one week.
Refund. Available on paid card payments, and on partly refunded ones if there is money left to return. Offline payments cannot be refunded through Arvald, because there is nothing for the processor to send back. See Refunds.
A cancelled booking with a paid card charge can still be refunded, so the order you do things in does not trap you.
Nothing here notifies anyone
Cancelling a booking, marking a no-show, releasing a week and issuing a refund all change the record and nothing else. No email goes to the player. If they need to know, tell them. Their contact details are on the booking, and their email and phone are tappable from the client page.
