Test mode
A copy of your brand to experiment in, where nothing is real.
Test mode is a second, separate copy of your brand. You can add services, put sessions in the calendar, take a booking through your own booking page and refund it, all without any of it touching your real business and without any money moving.
It is there so you can find out how something works before you do it for real.
Every brand has it from the day it is made, already filled with a sample venue, a couple of services and some upcoming sessions, so there is something to look at straight away. There is nothing to turn on.
Switching over
Open the brand menu at the top of the sidebar and choose Switch to test mode. Everything in the dashboard follows it. The same menu switches you back, and the brand name in the sidebar carries an amber Test mode label while you are in it.
You will know when you are in test mode: there is an amber band across the top of every page, and it does not go away.
Your test booking page
Your booking page has a test version at the same address with /test in front of it. If your live
page is:
arvald.com/o/your-brandthen your test page is:
arvald.com/test/o/your-brandIt looks the same as the real one, with a band at the top telling anybody who opens it that bookings made there are not real. It is kept out of search engines.
Starting over
Settings → Test mode → Reset test data empties test mode and puts the sample data back. Your real business is not touched. It is the only thing you can do to test mode itself: it comes with the brand and it cannot be turned off, so the switch in the brand menu is always there.
There is no undo, so you are asked to confirm before anything is deleted.
