Roles and brands
Who can change what, and how to work across more than one brand.
Two roles
Every membership of a brand carries a role.
Owner. Can change everything: services, sessions, policies, the public page, bookings, refunds, payments setup, brand settings.
Coach. Can see everything, and change nothing.
That is the whole model in this version. There is no per-area permission, no billing-only role, and no way to let a coach create sessions but not touch payments.
Read-only, not hidden
A coach sees the same screens an owner does, with the controls disabled rather than removed. This is on purpose: you can see that a cancellation policy exists and what it says, so you can ask the owner to change it, instead of wondering whether the feature is missing or you just cannot reach it.
Where an action needs the owner, the interface says so. On the payouts page, for instance, a coach is told to ask the brand owner to set up payouts rather than being shown a button that will fail.
Switching brands
The menu in the top left switches between the brands you belong to, whether you own them or not. Everything in the dashboard is scoped to the brand you have selected: sessions, services, clients, policies, payments and the public page all change with it.
Brand settings live in that menu rather than in the sidebar. The sidebar is for the things you do day to day, and settings are not one of them.
Nothing crosses between brands
Brands are fully separate. Separate public pages, separate payments accounts, separate clients, separate everything. The same player booking with two of your brands is two unrelated client records, and there is no way to move a session, a booking or a client from one brand to another.
Deleting a brand
Settings → Brand → Delete this brand, owner only. You type the brand name to confirm, because there is no undo and no way to get the brand back from the dashboard.
The brand disappears from your dashboard and its booking page stops working. Its test mode goes with it, which is the only way test mode is ever removed: you cannot throw away the sandbox on its own, only the whole brand.
Two things are worth knowing before you do it.
Your page address is retired, not released. Nobody else can ever take
arvald.com/o/your-brand, so an old link in somebody's booking confirmation can never lead to a
stranger's page. You cannot claim it again either, including for a new brand of your own.
Your records are kept. Bookings, payments and refunds stay, so your own accounting and your players' booking history are not destroyed by closing a brand.
If anyone is booked into a session that has not happened yet, the delete is refused and you are told how many. Cancel or complete those sessions first: once the brand is gone there is no page and no way to tell those players anything, and they would simply turn up.
Deleting a brand frees one of your brand slots.
What is not here yet
There is no way to invite someone to your brand from the dashboard. There is no team management screen, no way to change someone's role, and no way to remove a member.
