Cancelling a booking
What cancelling does, what it does not do about money, and when it is not offered.
You can cancel a booking from your bookings list, if your coach's cancellation policy allows it.
What cancelling does
It frees your spot, so somebody else can take it, and it tells your coach you are not coming.
What it does not do
It does not refund you. Cancelling and getting your money back are separate things on Arvald, and only your coach can do the second one. They may refund you, they may not, and that follows the policy they set rather than anything Arvald decides.
This is worth being clear about because most things with a Cancel button do both. Here, cancel means "I am not coming", and the money is a conversation with your coach.
When Cancel is not offered
Instead of a button you will see a short line saying why. The reasons:
- The cancellation window has closed. Your coach sets how long before a session you can cancel. Once that has passed, it is theirs to decide.
- Your coach set no cancellation policy. With nothing set, bookings cannot be cancelled here at all.
- The policy has no free-cancellation window. Some are all sales final.
- It is part of a term. A term's window is measured from its first session, so once a term has started it closes as a whole rather than week by week.
In every one of those cases, message your coach. Nothing about the policy stops them cancelling it for you; it only stops you doing it yourself.
